Summary
This poll is part of a continuing series of monthly surveys that solicit public opinion on the presidency and on a range of other political and social issues. In this survey, respondents were asked to identify what they believed to be the most important problem facing the country today and which political party could do a better job of handling the problem. Respondents were asked to give their opinions on Bill Clinton and his handling of foreign policy and the economy, Hillary Clinton, Ross Perot, and Bob Dole. Additional topics included the Whitewater real estate development, the role of the news media, congressional term limitation, crime, welfare, health care, immigration, and the federal deficit.
