Summary
Set in 1940. The trip of a chorus singer on her way to a christening where she was to be godmother is interrupted by the Civil War. In the hard years of postwar Spain, she risks her life to protect a singer. The young woman suffers all the more on account of her pursuit by a black marketeer, for whom she is obliged to exchange comfort in order to accept the apartment of her dreams
